Wrap it Up!, 16 Apr 2007

I nearly came here before, but thought that south down Bishopsgate was going a bit far. It's not that far as it turns out - just by Tesco's. You go to the tills on the right to order from the menu above and pay (what else would you do at a till?), and then wait for your wrap to be made - you're given a receipt with a number on, which is called out when ready.

I went for a Jerk Chicken with ceasar salad wrap, but there were many on the menu that appealed, both hot and cold. My wrap was made using a green tortilla (is it spinach they use for the colouring?), and I was able to watch mine being made. The wrap is then wrapped in a foil type covering, no doubt to keep hot ones hot, and appeared as a chunky lump - quite a weight, as it happens.

Taking off the foil wrapper, and I am left with a short but fat tortilla wrap - not like the slim ones from Préts. The chicken was nice and spicy, the kos lettuce crispy and the ceasar dressing creamy. I am hooked. I will be going back, perhaps for a hot one next time.
