Fernando's, 13 Apr 2007

It may be Friday 13th, but this was amazing! Fernando's is a café/sandwich bar in Devonshire Row (go past Tesco on Bishopsgate and turn left). It is next to a very good electrical wholesaler (if you need plugs, sockets, bulbs etc, this is the place).

If you were partial to the pastas that Lazio serve in Minories, then you should go here - they have twice the selection that Lazios have! They don't just do pasta. They do (big) ciabatta rolls with various fillings eg spanish chicken with chorizo, mexican chicken, barbeque lamb etc etc. For £4.50 you get effectively two large sandwiches - the amount you get has to be seen to be believed; I did take a photo with my phone, but cannot work out how to get it up to this blog (I'll see if I can do it at home). I am completely stuffed now....... Oh yes, sorry, I had the spanish chicken with chorizo, which was good, although the chorizo was not as spicy as I would like (in fact I couldn't taste it at all). But I don't care - I got good value for my buck!
