The search has ended, 2 Apr 2007

I know you'll be disappointed, but I've been at it for six weeks now. I've missed two days as I was off on a conference, but apart from that, my lunch has been sourced from somewhere different each day. Until now.

I'm sorry, but the quest is over; there are still places I haven't been to: Wrap it Up on Bishopsgate, for instance, also a number of restaurants, but 28 different places is not bad. I know that there are enough good places to go to give me variety, so that I do not get stuck into the rut of Pret á Manger Super Club every day!

I will update from time to time, especially when I go somewhere new, but also going back to places I said I would - Verde, Gold, S&M, Thai Hut, to name a few - for additional comment.

Background

This blog started when my firm moved to a brand new office just by Spitalfields Market on the edge of the City of London. One of the marvellous things about where we are located is the very wide range of places to eat. When I came to the new building, I vowed that I would source my lunch from somewhere different every day for as long as possible. This will also mean not going to standard places such as Pret a Manger. I hope that this Blog works as a simple record of the different places to go. It will, of course, only reflect my opinions about the different shops, cafes and restaurants, and will be skewed towards my tastes in what I buy.
